My passion for books started at an early age and my childhood saw me totally captivated by Enid Blyton's Famous Five adventures, which I couldn't get enough of, alongside the likes of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, and The Railway Children by Edith Nesbit, all read more than once!

For many years I toyed with words, creating possible storylines in my head with a few notes and rough ideas jotted down here and there, but never got around to developing any one story. Pieces of paper with notes on just got pushed into a drawer and forgotten about. Years later I started to dabble again and when one or two small pieces were published, Blush with Bella and Together As One, it fuelled my desire to continue writing stuff that felt right at that time, including poetry.

In the year 2000 I moved towards a different creative route, setting up and designing a website for a professional singing friend of mine, a site which I maintained for ten years.  This also led me to run her Official Online Store and International Fan Club, producing and editing three 16-page full colour magazines every year.

Towards the end of 2009 the burning desire to write and get a complete novel down on paper was the turning point for me. I decided to give up the involvement in my friend's business interests to concentrate on my own writing ambition.

Whenever I can I like to lose myself amongst the bookshelves in Waterstones, Barnes and Noble, Books-A-Milliion, or the nice little rare to find independent book shops.  Believe me once I get in a book shop I can spend hours there, where all sense of time simply escapes me. I can usually be spotted exiting the shop with a load of newly purchased books under my arm...I admit it, I am addicted to books, books, and more books!

Although I read all sorts of books the genre I most enjoy is Crime/Mystery/Thrillers, which has inevitably influenced me in finding my own writing voice.

2010 saw me get started on my first novel, a crime/mystery thriller, which is set in the USA (Missouri), called TRAIL OF SILENCE, and I love every minute of writing it.  I have no idea when exactly it will be finished, though my self imposed target is August 2012...watch this space!
